he following 15 steps are the exact steps to be taken in order for the patient to receive the complete service of the PRC. It is important that these steps be done sequentially (in order) and completely. The details of each step are described in the Patient Resources and Medical Services sections of the Optimization Manual.
NOTE: Although the action of most of these steps is taken by the PRC staff, the focus is on the patient and on moving the patient seamlessly through the process so as to provide her with quality care
The 15 Step Patient Flow Process
- Patient calls the Helpline.
- Helpliner schedules an appointment with the patient.
- Receptionist calls patient to confirm appointment.
- Receptionist greets the patient and provides information to patient and visitors.
- Advocate presents Limitation of Services and obtains permission for follow-up.
- Advocate performs situational assessment.
- Advocate reviews options.
- Patient provides urine sample for testing.
- Advocate performs support system review.
- Nurse presents pregnancy test results.
- Nurse obtains health history from patient.
- Nurse / Sonographer performs ultrasound exam.
- Advocate provides Personalized Solutions Assessment, Gospel Presentation.
- Advocate initiates exit process.
- Medical Services and Patient Resources perform follow up.
